Great book; however, it taught a lot of math that my son had yet to learn and thus required me to teach him different concepts (which I fear will not be in line with Common Core practices). I do like how it challenged my child who tends to pick things up easily.
This was my first time buying this brand of summer books. We've done one every summer for the last 3 summers. These seemed great for my 1st, 3rd and 5th grader. One page (front was reading, back was math...or the other way around) every morning and they stayed semi current on their skills! I did find a couple mistakes on the answer key though..that was a bit irritating!
Delighted to have found these workbooks.Concise.Comprehensive.Still easy & all in just 96 pages!Fabulous!
Perfect for preventing the "summer slide". My son loved it and was proud of the work he did.
My almost 3rd grader loved this book and finished it in a snap. She is usually not into workbooks, but this product kept her engaged.
I am a teacher and a parent and these are the best summer workbooks I have found. Most books are overwhelming/impossible to finish in the summer. These are structured for 45 days. One math and one reading page per day. Includes a great chart and stickers to track progress. Activities are academically appropriate (for reviewing most important skills) and kids can complete with little assistance.
Awesome. Can't go wrong with Kumon.
