This is actually our second one of these. And we have others in this same series that we've had to replace as well. The children have loved this colorful and interactive books with the things to touch and feel in it. I just wish these books were more sturdy. We have several of these type books and all them have been easily pulled apart by the boys with normal wear and tear looking and playing with them. So, our only compliant is it's sturdiness with toddlers---the books are no match for them with longterm use.But with the low price and the fact that they kids really enjoy them, learn and play with them---they seems worth the price and the replacement.
I bought this book for my son who LOVES wheels! He started taking it in his crib at night and eventually destroyed it. Not a biggie for me, it was $5. I ordered another and we'll see how long we can keep it out of the crib.I've read other reviews on the "touch and feel" books that say there wasn't much to touch, or all the pages had the same textures. In this book, EVERY single page has something to feel, BUT some of them are repeats. There's also a little something at the bottom of the page describing what kind of tractor it is, or that its a "new and shiny" tractor vs and old tractor. This is where parents can get imaginative and make up a story about the tractor, or just add to what it says or does. Other reviewers on these books are too critical in my opinion about what the page says, or how many different textures are on each page. While I like that every page is textured in this one, it's not a deal breaker that some are repeats. I have stayed away from other books in this collection that reviewers said very few pages had textures. Be creative folks, and your child's imagination will grow!!
I have the animals version of this book so wasn't expecting much in terms of narrative or the "touch" items. My son loves tractors so I got it anyway. Like the animals version, the written portions could use some work but that touch portions aren't too bad. Again, the appeal was the tractor pictures and this does it. NOTE: if your child, like mine, can't be trusted with paper books, the paper spine is easily ripped so skip this one.
It's a great book because it's colorful and every page has a tractor on it. However, the touch and feel part doesn't have much. It's all very smooth. There are a couple that are really good, but the rest of the pages are simple and can't tell that it's a touch and feel book.
My son loves this book. He is 2 years old and has asked to read it everyday for the last 6 months. We love all of the touch and feel books that we have.
My son love love loves this book, this is our 3rd copy, but they are really poorly made. He is a little rough on his books, but this One doesn't hold up well. The touch and feel parts make it so the pages just fall apart. (With little boy effort) but we have many other books that are better quality and don't have the glue just pop apart.
My son (20 months) LOVES this book! It is so much fun & he loves to feel the objects.
It was missing some sections where the texture should be.
